Hi, I’m Eileen.
I’m a ceramics student at Colorado State University with a focus on building a creative life that feels both meaningful and sustainable. I’ve been working with clay since high school, and somewhere along the way, it stopped being just a class and became the thing I want to do for the rest of my life.
My work is process-driven, with a strong focus on handbuilding because it lets me slow down and stay connected to each piece as it takes shape. I also have experience in wheel throwing, mold making, slip casting, glaze chemistry, and kiln firing, and I’m always trying to push what I know and what I can make.
Outside of my own work, I care a lot about community. I’m the president of the CSU Pottery Guild, where I help organize events, create opportunities for students, and build a more connected ceramics community. I’ve also been involved in coordinating trips and experiences that expose students to the larger world of ceramics.
Long term, I want to open my own ceramics studio—a space where I can create, teach, and make art more accessible to others. I’m interested in building something that brings people in, not just to make objects, but to feel grounded, creative, and connected.
When I’m not in the studio, I spend time walking my dog, volunteering when I can, and figuring out how to balance making art with everything else life throws at you.
